**Is your instructional coaching newsletter starting conversations—or just adding
another email to a teacher’s inbox?**

I’m excited to share that I recently joined my friend **Chrissy Beltran** on _Instructional
Coaching with Ms. B_ to explore how we can turn our newsletters into something more
meaningful: an invitation to connect, collaborate, and grow.

A huge thank-you to Chrissy for inviting me onto the show and making space for this
conversation. We dug into a challenge that many instructional coaches face: putting
time and energy into sharing resources, only to wonder whether those resources are
opening the door to coaching work.

## More Than a Newsletter: An Invitation to Work Together

One of the biggest ideas we explored is that a coaching newsletter shouldn’t simply
be a collection of links. It can help teachers understand who you are, how you can
support them, and what working together might look like.

During our conversation, we discussed ways to:

 * **Connect communication to school goals** so your newsletter supports the work
   already happening across your building.
 * **Spotlight teachers and classroom successes** to make coaching opportunities
   feel relevant and approachable.
 * **Share bite-sized, actionable ideas** using tools teachers already have.
 * **Personalize your message** for different grade levels and departments without
   rebuilding every newsletter from scratch.
 * **Move from whole-staff communication to targeted support**, using newsletters
to introduce ideas that lead into small-group and individual coaching.
 * **Build a searchable resource library** so useful ideas don’t disappear into
   an overflowing inbox.

For me, it comes back to a simple question: **What do you want a teacher to do after
reading your newsletter?**

If the answer is “start a conversation,” then we need to design our communication
with that next step in mind.

## Connect with Chrissy and Keep Learning
