Innovative Digital Leadership
With almost 25 years in education, I have served school districts as an Instructional Coach, Director of Digital Learning,
and consultant to help create and propel a culture for Standards-Based Digital Learning.
- Provided leadership and guidance to the digital learning department, library media specialists, and other technology subject area teachers in the creation of a vision for the future growth of the program, with a focus on developing a feeder program in the younger grade levels.
- Developed District and Educational Technology, and Professional Development Strategic Plans in multiple school districts that supported community and grant-funded programs and projects.
- Supported and often led the digital revolution for multiple school districts in building digital learning skills for students as well as fostering relationships between K12 and edtech companies to ensure the success of the strategic vision of the school district.
- Developed and launched a cross-department digital workflow and platform to support collaboration between District Cabinet and 20+ Building Principals to support the shift to both Microsoft and Google-based platforms that included:
- New Website & Staff Intranet to support 17,000 staff and students.
- Social Media platform to support 100+ accounts.
- Parent University program to support the community.
- New Teacher Orientation Program to support incoming staff members and BOE.
- New Strategic Plan, Vision, and Goals and developed a training program of implementation.
- Increased the ability for teachers and students to interact with their curriculum through the purchasing, of over 500 ViewSonic Interactive Panels in multiple districts with strategic professional development.
- Organized and allocated a million-dollar budget to support student programs.
- Conducted business development and strategic meetings between educational technology brands and district/community leadership to support strategic outreach, lead fostering, and application renewals that support equity and diversity across K12 and the supporting community.
- Designed and Constructed Data Dashboards to track and analyze data to determine how coaches and digital learning applications impact student achievement to support building administration, coaches, and curriculum department.
- Redesigned and implemented a New Employee Orientation Program to support weekly onboarding of new staff members with collaboration from the Human Resources, Curriculum, and Digital Learning Departments.
- Designed and trained staff on using Google Classroom as a Learning Management System to infuse digital learning at the classroom and district-wide levels.
