If you’re looking for practical, classroom-ready professional learning you can watch on your own schedule this summer, the Shake Up Learning Summer Learning Series is one of the best opportunities out there—and it’s completely free.
This is the third annual Summer Learning Series hosted by Shake Up Learning, and I’m excited to share that I’m featured with two Notion-focused sessions designed to help you (and your team) get organized, save time, and build repeatable systems you can use all year long.
What Is the Summer Learning Series?
The Summer Learning Series is a free, asynchronous online learning event for K–12 teachers, instructional coaches, and education leaders.
Think of it like a “slow-burn mini-conference” where new, expert-led sessions drop throughout the summer, giving you time to learn, try strategies, and bring ideas back into your planning before the school year starts.
Here’s the big picture:
- When: June 2 – July 23, 2026
- Schedule: One new session every Tuesday and Thursday (with a brief pause the week of July 4)
- Format: Pre-recorded, on-demand sessions (typically 30–40 minutes each)
- Cost: Free registration
Why Attend?
What I love about this event is that it respects educators’ time. You can learn when it fits your schedule—and still get high-quality ideas you can actually use.
Reasons to register:
- Flexible & convenient: watch from anywhere, on your time
- Expert-led sessions: a wide variety of topics including AI, Google, instructional best practices, leadership, and more
- Totally free: quality PD without the price tag
A Powerhouse Lineup of Speakers
The Summer Learning Series features an impressive range of educators and presenters. A few featured speakers include:
- Jon Corippo (EduProtocols) — Eduprotocols and AI tools: Even Better, Even Faster!
- Kasey Bell (Shake Up Learning) — Rethinking Teacher PD: High-Impact Strategies to Empower Your Staff
- Jake Miller (Educational Duct Tape) — Reducing Teacher Burnout through Learner Agency
- Joe & Kristen Merrill (The Merrills EDU) — Creation in a World of AI
- Ashley Shanley — Work Smarter, Not Harder: Meet Your New AI Teaching Assistant
And that’s only a slice—the full schedule is packed all summer long.
My Two Sessions: Build a Notion System You’ll Actually Use
If your current system looks like 47 open tabs, scattered Docs, sticky notes, and saved links you can’t find later, my goal is to help you simplify and build one reliable “home base.”
Session #1 (Available Now): Build Your Digital Command Center with Notion
This session is designed for educators who want one place to organize:
- lessons and planning
- coaching cycles
- resources and links
- daily workflows and to-dos
You’ll learn how to build a Digital Command Center in Notion—and you’ll walk away with a ready-to-use template and a clear path forward (even if you’ve never used Notion before).

Session #2: Using AI Agents to Supercharge Your Lesson Planning (ALL ACCESS)
In my second session, we take it a step further: What if your system didn’t just store your work… but helped you create it?
This session focuses on using Notion AI and custom AI agents to generate classroom-ready planning assets faster—aligned to your expectations and instructional priorities.
Per the Summer Learning Series schedule, this session appears on July 17, 2026 (ALL ACCESS).
Who This Series Is For
If you’re any of the following, you’ll find sessions built for your role:
- classroom teachers (any grade level)
- instructional coaches
- digital learning leaders
- school and district administrators
If your goal is to refresh your toolbox, save time, and start the year with better systems, this is a great event to plug into.

See You in the Sessions
I’ll see you inside the Summer Learning Series—and I’d love for you to start with the first Notion session so you can build a system you’ll use beyond summer PD.
If you watch, I’d also love to hear what you build. After you’ve created your Command Center, reply to one of my posts or send me a note with what you included first—tasks, lesson planning, coaching notes, or resources—and I’ll cheer you on.
See you this summer!
