I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been selected to present at the 2026 Simply Coaching Summit — a three-day virtual experience designed specifically for instructional coaches, teacher leaders, and school and district leaders who are ready to level up their practice.
What Is the Simply Coaching Summit?
The Simply Coaching Summit is one of the premier virtual professional learning events for instructional coaches. Now in its seventh year, the summit brings together current practitioners, experienced leaders, and passionate educators who share strategies, insights, and concrete examples you can take back and use in your school immediately.
This year’s theme is Building Your Instructional Coaching Playbook — and the lineup is packed with sessions that will help you walk away with a coaching playbook that strengthens instruction and equips you to help teachers improve student learning.
The summit runs July 6–8, 2026, and all sessions are pre-recorded, which means you can watch on-demand whenever it works for your schedule. Plus, you get 90 days of replay access after the event.
My Session: Communication That Gets You in the Classroom Door
I’ll be presenting a session called Communication – Collaboration – Critical Planning: Using Coaching Newsletters and Other Communication Methods Effectively to Get into the Classroom for Meaningful Coaching Cycles.
Here’s the core question this session tackles: Do you find that your coaching emails and newsletters are missing the mark and not getting you in the classroom door?
If that hits home, you’re not alone. Many coaches are trained on what to do inside a classroom — but not on how to get invited into one. That’s exactly what this session fixes.
In this session, you’ll learn how to:
- Audit your current coaching communications — newsletters, emails, and outreach — and identify what’s landing and what’s being ignored
- Apply a repeatable framework for writing action-oriented coaching messages that clearly communicate value and invite teachers into coaching cycles
- Use specific templates and structures — subject lines, calls to action, scheduling nudges — that reduce friction and increase classroom access
- Walk away with a reusable communication toolkit you can adapt for your building or district immediately
Whether you’re a brand-new coach trying to establish credibility or a veteran looking to sharpen your outreach, this session will give you practical tools you can put to work right away.
A Powerhouse Lineup of Presenters
One of the things that makes the Simply Coaching Summit special is the caliber of presenters — these are people who are living this work right now in schools, with teachers, with teams, and with real challenges.
Dr. Jim Knight — Keynote Speaker
Dr. Jim Knight, founder of the Instructional Coaching Group and one of the most recognized names in the coaching field, is delivering a keynote on Unpacking The Instructional Playbook. With more than three decades of research and over 14 published books — including his newest, Data Rules — Jim will outline the essential elements of an instructional playbook and show how schools can build a clear, practical roadmap for high-impact teaching. If you’ve read any of Jim’s work, you know this session alone is worth the price of admission.
Nicole S. Turner — Summit Founder & Keynote Speaker
Nicole S. Turner, founder of Simply Instructional Coaching Inc. and the force behind this summit, is delivering the opening keynote, When Coaching Feels Random: Build Coaching Clarity With the S.I.M.P.L.E. Blueprint. Nicole is also leading multiple breakout sessions throughout the event, including The Simple Strategy Notebook and The Instructional Coaching Playbook: What Great Coaches Do on Purpose.

I’d Love to See You There
The Simply Coaching Summit has consistently been one of the most valuable virtual PD experiences I’ve been part of. The sessions are practical, the community is supportive, and you’ll leave with strategies you can actually implement — not just theory you’ll file away.
I’m honored to be part of this year’s lineup, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been building around coaching communication systems. If you’re an instructional coach looking for your next professional learning experience this summer, this is it.
See you at the summit!
